I was somewhat hesitant to try to purchase another tiffany lamp online because I had a terrible experience last Christmas with another merchant. This was an EXCELLENT shopping experience, however. I linked onto the website and the first lamp I saw was amazing. I easily purchased it online about one week before Christmas. I didnt expect it to get here on time (I live in a very rural area and typically have problems with deliveries). Much to my astonishment, it arrived by the 23rd, only 7 days after my email order was placed. It was packaged beautifully to prevent damage. The lamp is gorgeous, the quality impeccable. None of that cheap glass, this is the real thing. And the base is also beautiful, not one of those plain bases, this one has tons of detail. I shopped on and off the Internet for my dining room lighting fixture. Five Rivers had the best price and the best timing in terms of delivery. Since I had made sure to see the product in person before I bought it, I expected the fine quality of my Quoizel chandelier. I called Five Rivers Lighting to order two bathroom fixtures from their web site, because I had additional questions not addressed in the web site. The customer service representative answered my questions, including that the fixtures I liked would not attach to the wall in reverse (upside down), as I needed. She then asked me what features I was looking for, and I described my specific wishes for the lighting fixtures. After considerable discussion, she directed me to bring up a set of fixtures that were too new to have been added to their web site as of the date I contacted them. I could see the fixtures online and ask questions at the same time. The recommended new fixtures were exactly what I was seeking -in fact, they were better, as they were LOWER in price! I ordered the fixtures on the spot, and they arrived on my doorstep within seven days, in perfect condition. My wife and I are very pleased with the quality and appearance of the lights, and I am awed by the extraordinary level of positive customer service given by this company. It felt like having a personal shopper at Five Rivers Lighting! The customer service representative gave so much time and thought in helping me achieve my goals - kudos to her and the entire company for supporting this kind of service. I would use this company again (undoubtedly will), and will recommend them to others without reservation.

I recently ordered two matching table lamps from Five Rivers. The price was very, very reasonable, reflecting an Internet sale. They arrived quickly, and I discovered I really only needed one of the lamps, owing to size. I called Customer Service and was assured I could return a lamp with no penalty, tho I of course had to pay the shipping. I later received an email from the company telling me the returned lamp had arrived and that my credit card had been refunded the proper amount. I would definitely do business with this company again--they are efficient and responsive and their prices are extremely competitive. An all around good experience.

I called the merchant on their 800 number to find out shipping time and got a very friendly helpful person who told me when the product would ship and when it would arrive. The product arrived in slightly less time than she had estimated. I also like the free shipping -- no hidden costs. I didn't return the product, but I chose this merchant partly because they allowed returns without a restocking fee. They also had the lowest price online for what I was ordering.

They spent extra time in order to get me the best shipping method--free from the manufacturer! Both saleswomen I talked with were very helpful and pleasant. The solid brass outdoor light glass globe was slightly damaged in shipment. Five Rivers Lighting responded the same day to my e-mail and has a replacement globe coming--as the item was insured when shipped. Also, Five Rivers said it could take from 3-4 weeks to receive here in the middle of the Pacific, but it only took 5 days. My outdoor light from Hinkley is very well made and uniquely styled. If one were nitpicky one could say I spent $10 more than the lowest price I saw on internet for light, but I figure the salespeople ended up saving me more money by going the extra mile to save on shipping! I needed eight wall fixtures for our home, which is an old farm house that we were renovating. I also needed exact measurements on the fixtures so I knew for sure that they would work in the space. I talked to Anita at Five Rivers Lighting, and she was very helpful. She said she would get the exact measurements for me and would call me back. She called back within 1-2 hours with the measurements that I needed. I was very impressed with the quality of the fixtures for the price. But what I was impressed with most of all was the customer service.

The item I purchased from Five Rivers Lighting I had previously tried to purchase through an on-line operation. After almost three weeks and many calls to try and get status on my order (that companies on-line system for status never worked) I canceled my order and within an hour I had repurchased the same item through Five Rivers. The person I dealt with at Five Rivers assured me that the item I wanted was available at the manufacturer in South Carolina and that the item would be shipped to my Seattle area home the following day. It was ground shipped as promised and arrived one week after purchase. The person I dealt with provided me excellent service and timely update through e-mail.

The product is excellent. Shipped in excellent condition and the price is great. The only flaw was the packing slip versus the contents. The packing slip noted all four items, but after unpacking and carefully going through the boxes there was one item missing though not noted anywhere. When I called about it, it was not Five Rivers but the lighting company in Vermont. They merely said, Oh, that will be sent next week! Excellent customer service would have apologized for the inconvenience and would have inquired if the other items in the shipment were acceptable.

Local merchants told me it would be two months, and their prices were significantly more than Five Rivers. I ordered 3 Hinkley Lighting fixtures. Two were larger for the front of the garage. One was smaller, but matching, for the front porch. The customer service rep that took my order was polite, informative and very personable. I also saved almost 50% over retail by ordering through them. I was very happy with the shipping costs since this consisted of 3 pretty large boxes. All arrived earlier than I had anticipated. As soon as the items were shipped, I was notified by the seller and given a link for tracking. I could also view the anticipated date of shipment 3 days before the items arrived. I would not hesitate to order from them again.

In the case of Five Rivers, it's too bad that Yahoo Shopping does not have "Outstanding" on their rating form. Although most of my internet shopping experiences are positive, this is without doubt the best store I have used to date. The web site was very easy to navigate and had all of the information I needed to make an informed choice. Five Rivers was extremely helpful in ascertaining whether the lighting fixtures I wanted were in stock and where, and very accurate in their estimate of shipping time. When we had difficulty making contact through my primary Email address, they went out of their way to establish contact through a secondary Email. I was hesitant about placing this order because I had a particular need to receive the items on or before a certain date and the lighting had to be shipped from Quoizel - Five Rivers kept close track of the order and Emailed me a UPS tracking number as soon as the items were shipped. The fixtures arrived well within the time frame stated by Five Rivers and also within my required time. Five Rivers pricing was, of course, excellent - I was unable to find better prices for Quoizel anywhere on the net and the shipping ($43 for four boxes) was reasonable. Even the "ship for free" sites could not beat the total price from Five Rivers. I will not hesitate to use Five Rivers again. Thank you for a very good experience.

So when it arrived and the bill was over $100.00 I was surprised. (I think that was amount) It was a large light fixture. No big deal - just wanted to respond to your questionnaire.

I called the 800 number on a weekend and had a question about a particular piece of furniture that the customer service person couldn't answer. She apologized and said she would see if she could find someone to help me. A few minutes later I was talking to a man who could give a lecture on furniture making. He wasn't trying to sell me on the piece that I was asking about; he was just helping me to know what to look for in a good piece of furniture. At the end of the conversation, he gave me his cell phone number and told me to call with any follow up questions. I asked for his name and he said it was John. His last name? No need, he was the only John there -- and, by the way, he happened to be the owner. Talk about humble. I had a number of conversations with John after I purchased the item and he made sure I received the shipment and that everything was to my liking. I should note that I received the furniture four days after I ordered it -- six days sooner than anticipate! It was expertly packaged and the carton barely had a dent in it. This is bar none the best online purchase experience I've had. ... Oh, if you're curious, the furniture was of exceptional quality and I paid about 20% less than a similar piece at a high-end furniture store that shall remain nameless. --
