This Bodiam armchair is constructed of greyed oak and taken from an early C19th painted piece at home. This chair has been given a modern finish with fine hand rushing and plenty of care makes it charming. The Bodiamæis also strong and durable, and can be used in kitchens and dining rooms. (Old salescode: 530000-GO-AC)

The Bodiam bench constructed of oak with a greyed oak finish is perfect at the end of a bed, as a coffee table in a casual living room, or smart in a hall to put your hat on. I do. (Old salescode: 530001)
Bellingham double bench constructed of acacia and finished in a country grey with a fine rush seat is perfect at the foot of a bed. Taken from a family piece, this bench and the single version has many uses. Great in front of the sofa and also in the hall or even on a landing. (Old salescode: 530007)
Bellingham single bench constructed of acacia and finished in a country grey with a fine rush seat is perfect at the foot of a bed. Taken from a family piece, this bench and the double version has many uses. Great in front of the sofa and also in the hall or even on a landing. (Old salescode: 530008)
The Purbeck console table with its distressed brass banded marble top looks great in a living room from which to serve cocktails. This piece derived from the original Purbeck table which I have owned for more than 20 years is not only smart but unique! Try finding another! (Old salescode: 530013)
The Overbury table is just so useful. We had the original in our nursery as children and used to take breakfast off it with our nanny. ItÍs a great size and the finish of greyed oak and the use of a crown cut oak top has given it a wonderful organic and rather timeless feel. Once I had seen the original sample I decided we must make it in two sizes. (Old salescode: 530020-GO)
The Overbury table is just so useful. We had the original, smaller version, in our nursery as children and used to take breakfast off it with our nanny. ItÍs a great size and the finish of greyed oak and the use of a crown cut oak top has given it a wonderful organic and rather timeless feel. Once I had seen the original sample I decided we must make it in two sizes. (Old salescode: 530021)
The original Longwood table is made of 19th century mahogany and sits at a window in my gothic country house. I fancy that I have an urge for elegant simplicity so we developed a version in greyed oak. The detail is a masterstroke and the proportion sublime. I love it so much that we have developed this expanding version on which to take supper. (Old salescode: 530024-54D-GO)
My Artaross console, which we have made in both grey crotch mahogany and greyed oak, has drawers lined in my signature grey polka dot marquetry. This table has been utterly and totally invented! Given my fancy for the gothic, it seemed amusing to make a console table for our dining room that could work alongside the Longwood dining table. (Old salescode: 530025-GO)
The Godwyn side table is a piece in this collection which I truly marvel at. The amusing fox heads, hand-carved amongst leaves and foliage, make for a pleasing and yet frivolous atmosphere. The front of the table, being a drawer, makes this piece suitable either by the sofa or by the bed. It's important to occasionally add humour to a decorative scheme. (Old salescode: 530028-GO)

Our Godwyn console table, taken from its smaller friend, seems to me to fit perfectly behind the sofa, on which to place a pair of beautiful lamps and a large tray of cocktails. Again, the drawer of the table is lined in our signature grey polka dot. I think a little fantasy in any decorative scheme always lightens the mood. (Old salescode: 530029-GO)

My Alnwick bureau has been moved so many times and been used in so many different decorative schemes that I struggle to remember exactly when it came into our house. The exaggerated cornice and the beautifully rubbed back white exterior help frame the pretty blue interior with its balustrade and its little drawers. Not only is this bureau extremely handsome, it is also madly useful as a place for storage. (Old salescode: 530034)
One can only marvel at the humour of the Tenbury games table with its stack of books, its secret drawers and chessboard top. I really feel that no library should ever be without one. (Old salescode: 530035)
Armadale is all about 1940s American fancy. Its frilly and very very pretty! I imagine this piece to be in a guest house laden with cocktail ingredients or in a pool house doing much the same job. It comes from my imagination and has nothing to do with anything, save that I love it! Seen here made in washed oak. (Old salescode: 530045)
The Dalkeith table is a masterstroke in carving. The hand-carved oak base, fluted, chiselled and sanded, supports the amusing top with curled edges and inset with white carrara marble. I would love to use this in a foyer or a loggia. (Old salescode: 530046)
The Maran console table has the legs of a champion racehorse. Slender, elegant and perfectly turned with its painted frieze and washed oak top, this table can be used in all manner of locations. (Old salescode: 530047)
The Lacock dining table, which I have taken from a table with a small occasional base, happily seats ten. Its scroll foot and book-matched veneered top, finished in venetian white oak with silver guilding, makes it the enviable combination of smart and grand, but not traditional.
The patina of the oak shown on the Minshull dresser serves to remind us how beautiful this timber is. A spectacular piece with 16 drawers, 8 private and 8 public, that can be used for table silver and dining ephemera. Inspired by the 18th century English period, this piece has been developed to be perfectly useful for todays dining room or formal kitchen. (Old salescode: 530067)
The Bickerton commode with its extraordinary and much admired bronze hardware was inspired by an English 18th century chest in the painted Swedish genre. This bow-fronted piece with its polka dot drawer lining is a classic in its own time. Use it in an entry or a bedroom or even as a pair, each side of a chimney piece in a drawing. (Old salescode: 530068)
Made originally in Sweden c1710, the Broxton console has the classic proportions of the period. Its carved apron and hoof foot set it apart from other simple pieces made at the same time. (Old salescode: 530074)
The original Tarvin side chair belonged to my grandmother and was used for storytelling in the nursery at night. Seen here refinished and rescaled in vintage oak with a perfect rush seat, the Tarvin suddenly becomes the perfect rustic dining chair or even used fireside in a country home. (Old salescode: 530083-SC)
Morris' bed, so called as it was the resting place of one of my favourite terrier dogs. The bed in essence is inspired by the traditional beds of Mallorca, the beautiful Balearic island south of Spain. These beds are traditionally simple, light and extremely comfortable. The detail in the joinery is the point of the whole. (Old salescode: 530090-USK)

When I saw the original Toby sofa it was in shocking repair and sold to me some 20 years ago by a delightful young antiques dealer who was simply learning his trade. To me, the elegant lines of this 1940s treasure are as relevant today as the day the piece was originally constructed. (Old salescode: 530091)
Can you imagine the joy of discovering the Saragosa table in the early 90s in Florence, Italy. Scrubbed of its original paint, the dry oak carving looks as well today as the day it was made. With the stone top and perfect proportions, the saragosa can sit behind a small sofa or at the entry of a town or country house. (Old salescode: 530097)
I rather fancy I shall use the Marshfield sofa and chair in my new library that I am building in London. I am very keen on upright sofas in front of small console tables and the proportions of these pieces can only be credited to the arts and crafts period from which the designs originate. With hand caned seats, turned legs and slatted backs, the Marshfield collection seems to me to be perfect. (Old salescode: 530103-GO)
My friend Eva is a legend in the Stockholm antiques trade. She has been kindly supplying beautifully painted furniture to the design cognoscente for some 40 years. To shop at EvaÍs store is an event with an appointment not an accident. This chair is a classic reminder of such a visit. Use it at a dining table or at pairs around the house ? this pieces will never let you down. (Old salescode: 530113-SC)
Handsome and very beautifully carved, the Mandeston urn can be placed on a plinth, placed on a sideboard or console table or lifted high up and put on brackets each side of an important mirror. The joyous carving, which is of the same class as our Godwyn and Saragossa tables, is a marvellous example of classicism today.
With its lusciously carved Prince of Wales feathers, the Rothesay mirror so named after the Prince of WalesÍ Scottish title is majestic in every way. Perfect for use above our York console which can be topped off with a pair of Mandeston urns.
Was it not my lucky day when I was shopping in the beautiful town of Lucca in the north of Italy, when I happened upon the beautiful Monforte sconce. Not one did I happen upon but six, and I used them as a wall of reflective candlelight in my little dining room in my guest house. (Old salescode: 530125)
The Florennes chair caught my eye on a summer visit to the delightful region of the Luberon in France. A pair of these chairs flanked a huge 17th century stone fireplace; with soft cushions and generous proportions the Florennes chair made the perfect place for an afternoon nap. (Old salescode: 530126)
When I first saw the Belleville buffet I knew immediately where to put it in my blue and white house. Originally in a fruitwood finish I saw it being much more exciting in our washed acacia. Although a substantial piece it has a lightness and humour that makes it very usable. (Old salescode: 530127-WA)
The Midmoor chest of drawers is probably one of my most prized possessions. I love the quirky detail of the paint and the amusing way that the borders of the drawers make for an all over design. Years ago I had this piece in my bedroom, but now I find it a deeply practical place to store my silver and linens.
ItÍs questionable that there is a better country armchair to sit at the head of a rustic table than this superb interpretation of a 19th century Welsh oak chair. Lewellen has been sized for use at the head of the table or as a desk chair. (Old salescode: 530136-AC-GO)
Minnas table in washed oak with brass trim can be easily moved around the home. For such a simple table Minnas is both stable and useful. (Old salescode: 530164-WO)
